Utah Water Quality Board: About the Board
Mission
Members
The Water Quality Board is appointed by the governor, with the consent of the senate. The Utah Division of Water Quality is the administrative arm of the board. The board's makeup is defined by statute in the Utah Code, Section 19-5-103, and is designed to represent various interest groups of the Water Quality community. The terms of the board members are staggered over a three year period.
As a result of legislation passed during the 2012 General Session of the Utah Legislature, changes were made to the make-up of the Utah Water Quality Board (Title 19, Chapter 5, Section 103). These changes may be found at the following website: http://www.le.utah.gov/code/TITLE19/htm/19_05_010300.htm. These changes took effect on March 1, 2013.
Meetings
The Water Quality Board generally meets on a monthly basis.
